Netherlands international Arjen Robben has blasted Chelsea's style of play following his summer switch from Stamford Bridge to Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old admits he is looking forward to playing in a more attractive team after growing frustrated with Blues boss Jose Mourinho's tactics.
He told The Sun: "I will enjoy it more over here. Maybe this is a style of play that suits me better.
"Real Madrid are a team and the coach said he wants to play attacking, attractive football - so that all sounds very good to me.
"I think I can be important to the team. As a left-winger, you are there to score goals and, hopefully, I can do that.
"It's been decided I'd do an extra pre-season to give me more time to get used to it here and to adapt and to make myself very strong, so when I start I can show everybody the player I am.
"I had a little bit of bad luck last year. I had surgery on my knee and I couldn't really come back properly because the season was finished.
"I started again with Chelsea in pre-season but things were fluid so the pre-season was not the best.
"And of course the situation with Real Madrid - going or staying - is not good for you or for your body."
