Real Madrid have made an offer believed to be in the region of £13.5million for Arjen Robben, according to the Chelsea player's agent.
The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for the Holland international throughout the summer and Robben's agent and father, Hans, has now confirmed the approach.
"I know Real have made a bid to Chelsea for my son," he told The Sun.
"When you are talking about Real Madrid, it has to be said that it's one of the best clubs in the world.
"Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid? My son wants to play at clubs that can win the Champions League and Real Madrid are one of the them."
Robben did little to dampen speculation over his Stamford Bridge future earlier in the month when he revealed negotiations over a new contract were not running smoothly.
The 23-year-old's future at the club has also been brought into further question following Chelsea's £13million capture of France international winger Florent Malouda from Lyon.
Robben had said: "We will see what the future brings. I haven't signed a new contract and it hasn't gone really well."
