Real deal for Franck Ribery transfer next summer denied by Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have denied reports a deal is in place to sell Franck Ribery to Real Madrid next summer. The France winger was the notable missing piece in Madrid's jigsaw as they signed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema. Now with the transfer window closed, speculation has already started about a possible move in 2010. 'We haven't made an agreement with Real Madrid about transferring Franck Ribery in the summer of 2010,' Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said. 'This is talk which has come from Spain and France, but we will deny it because it's false. Nobody believed us back in June when we said Franck wasn't leaving, but we kept our word. 'He will not leave next year either. Real Madrid didn't mention Franck's name when we were negotiating Arjen Robben's move.' Rummenigge was echoing the words of Ribery himself, who told France Football such talk was 'fake' and that nothing had been agreed 'so far'. He also admitted, however, he was not totally enjoying life under new coach Louis van Gaal.  'It's the first time that I haven't really felt close to a coach,' he said. 'There's not much feeling between us at all. 'Our relationship is professional. It was totally different with Ottmar Hitzfeld, for example. He was a real joy to work with and the best coach I've known at Bayern.'
