Ramires to miss Champions League clash
Chelsea will be without Brazilian midfielder Ramires for the Champions League Group F clash against Spartak Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium.
He hurt his ankle in a collision with Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne in the first-half of Saturday's goalless draw at Villa Park and will return home to begin his rehab ahead of Saturday's game with Wolves.
Michael Essien and Ashley Cole will be assessed after coach Carlo Ancelotti has seen them in training on the artificial pitch.
The Blues left Didier Drogba (fever), Frank Lampard (groin), Alex (thigh), Jose Bosingwa (rested) and Daniel Sturridge (ankle) at home.
