Queiroz calls on Deco

Chelsea midfielder Deco has been included in Carlos Queiroz's Portugal squad despite carrying an injury.

The Blues star suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem against Manchester City last Sunday and was expected to be sidelined for some time.

However, he has been included in the Portugal party for a 2010 World Cup qualifier against Sweden on 28th March and a friendly against South Africa on 31st March.

Former Manchester United assistant coach Queiroz has also handed a first call-up to Leixoes keeper Beto.

Atletico Madrid winger Simao and Deco's Stamford Bridge team-mate Ricardo Carvalho return to the fold after injury.

The Portuguese Football Federation have also revealed that an 'extra player' will be added to the squad following the weekend round of domestic action.
