Pizarro delighted to return

Chelsea flop Claudio Pizarro has revealed re-joining Werder Bremen was always his first choice destination. The Peruvian striker re-joined the Bundesliga outfit permanently after spending last season on loan at the Weserstadion. Pizarro, who has confirmed he left himself out of pocket by sealing the move, is happy at the prospect of regular first-team football. The 30-year-old mustered just two games for the Blues and never completed a 90-minute outing for the club. "I have had to waive money, but it was always a fact that Werder was my priority," he told kicker-Sportmagazin. "The whole process was quite nerve-racking. There was interest from England also and I had offers from clubs in Greece and Turkey. "I am happy to be back at Werder, it took a while to finalise. I never played more than 90 minutes for Chelsea, but I feel fit to play now. "I'm happy to be able to bring my family with me this time. I am now starting to look out for a home big enough for my family."
