Pirlo tranquil at Milan

Andrea Pirlo has reassured AC Milan supporters he has no desire to quit the San Siro, despite continued speculation of interest from Chelsea. Carlo Ancelotti's move to West London from the Italian giants has led to inevitable conjecture over who he may bring with him to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are known to be keen on Alexandre Pato but have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign the Brazilian, while Ancelotti has never tried to hide his admiration for his on-field general Pirlo. The Italy international is widely regarded as one of the world's finest midfielders but while he concedes knowledge of the transfer talk that surrounds him, Pirlo remains committed to the Rossoneri. Atletico Madrid are also known to be monitoring the situation but it would appear the Spanish outfit, along with Chelsea, are to be disappointed. "I stay at Milan," he told Corriere dello Sport. "Since I'm at Milan, I have lived other similar moments. "Also in these other occasions a lot was spoken about me, but then nothing happened. "So, reading papers and seeing my name in the middle of the market doesn't give me a strange sensation. I'm tranquil. "I have a contract with Milan. Next season I see myself always at Milan. Nothing will happen. I want to stay." Pirlo is under contract with Milan until 2011.
