The Belgian international continued to impress by winning another penalty and providing a further two assists in a 4-2 against Reading a week later. The player scored his first Chelsea goal against Newcastle United in a 2-0 win and then went on to make his Champions League debut for against Juventus. In December Hazard scored in back-to-back games, in a 5-1 win against Leeds United in the League Cup.
