Chelsea expect Petr Cech to begin light training next week after the injured goalkeeper was allowed to leave hospital and return home.
The 24-year-old suffered a depressed fracture of skull following a collision with Reading's Stephen Hunt in a Premiership game on October 14.
But after making what medical staff called excellent progress, Cech is expected to make an appearance at the Blues' Cobham training ground next Monday.
A Chelsea statement read: "Petr Cech continues to make excellent progress from his injury.
"It is standard practice to allow three months for a skull fracture to repair and we are working to that timescale for a return to full training."
Cech isn't expected to play again this season, but Carlo Cudicini could make his return at Sheffield United on Saturday after he suffered concussion in the same game.
