Paulo Ferreira has revealed that Chelsea's ageing stars fear they will never win the Champions League.[LNB]But manager Carlo Ancelotti believes he will survive last week's defeat by Inter Milan and can win the prize Roman Abramovich craves with thirty-somethings like Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Nicolas Anelka.[LNB]Honest truth: Chelsea's Paulo Ferreira says his older team-mates are worried they will never win the Champions League[LNB] Ferreira, 31, said: 'We've reached the final one year and very nearly reached it other times. Several players feel it's a trophy we are missing. [LNB]We've won leagues and cups, but the Champions League is very important. The years pass by and some players think about whether they have time to achieve it.'[LNB]Ancelotti insists he is halfway to meeting Abramovich's two main ambitions for Chelsea. Having established a more attractive playing style, he believes that, in the absence of the Champions League, winning the club's first title since 2006 or the FA Cup would make his first season in England satisfactory.[LNB]'I'm halfway to doing what the owner wants, but this is not enough,' said the Italian. [LNB]'We are working to win something this year. The players were disappointed (with the Inter defeat) and it's the first step to putting new motivation into the next game.'[LNB]A 1-0 win at Blackburn in 2005 which opened up an 11-point lead is regarded by many at Chelsea as the pivotal result of that season and Ancelotti thinks today's match against the same opponents will have similar significance. 'We need a result there,' he said.[LNB] CHELSEA
