Oscar confirms he met PSG officials regarding summer move

Chelsea star Oscar has confirmed he has held discussions with Paris Saint Germain over a transfer to the French champions.

PSG have already completed a £50million deal for his Brazilian and former Chelsea team mate David Luiz. The French side have made it clear that they were also looking at Oscar and Eden Hazard.

Chelsea have rejected any approaches for Hazard, but they could be persuaded to sell Oscar if an offer of over £40million is on the table.

Oscar admits a transfer was discussed and said: "I had contacts with PSG, it's true but it did not go further. The next season, I will stay at Chelsea.”

The 22 year old had a strong start to the season but following the sale of Juan Mata to Manchester United Oscar failed to deliver in the Number 10 position.

If a deal is to be struck between the two sides, it may have to involve Ezequiel Lavezzi moving in the other direction.

Chelsea made another enquiry for the Argentine international last week as they look to buy a second forward to improve the frontline this summer, with Diego Costa set to arrive from Atletico Madrid.

Lavezzi is interested in a move away from the French capital, but PSG want Lavezzi to stay and are preparing to offer him a lucrative new contract to ensure he does.

Last week reports in Spain suggested Chelsea had offered a lucrative contract to Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos, who could be seen as a great replacement for Oscar, but can also play in a deeper role.

Mourninho is still keen to add another midfielder to his ranks, with Sami Khedira also being linked to the London side.
