No summer switch for Anelka

Nicolas Anelka's agent has rubbished rumours suggesting the much-travelled Frenchman will be leaving Chelsea in the summer.

It had been reported that the Blues were open to offers for the 30-year-old, who has been the club's top-scorer this term despite not being a regular starter.

However, the Frenchman's representative, Doug Pingisi, has moved to quash the speculation, saying: "Nicolas will not move from Chelsea, everything is okay there.

"Nicolas has two more years on his contract and he is happy at Chelsea.

"I have spoken to everybody at Chelsea and they are happy with him so he will be staying."

Anelka has found the net 25 times in 57 starts and 18 substitute appearances for the FA Cup finalists following his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Bolton Wanderers in January 2008.

The striker has also played for Arsenal, Paris St Germain, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Fenerbahce and Manchester City during a nomadic career.
