No new Chelsea contract demands from Michael Ballack despite John Terry's huge deal

Michael Ballack will not rock the boat at Chelsea by demanding a new contract, despite witnessing John Terry agree a bumper new deal. Terry has become the joint highest paid player in the Barclays Premier League after signing a bumper new five-year deal worth £160,000-a-week. The staggering wage puts Terry on a par with Manchester City's Robinho as the league's top earner and the defender is set to earn at least £40million if he stays at Chelsea for the full term of his new contract. But Ballack, no pauper himself on a wage of around £120,000-a-week, has no designs on matching Terry's colossal earnings, despite being left some way behind on the Chelsea pay scale. The midfielder has less than a year remaining on his contract yet is showing respect by focusing on his game. Ballack said: 'I do not want to put pressure on the club.'
