The Football Association on Friday refused to comment on reports that John Terry has been sacked as England captain.
Terry was due to meet Fabio Capello on Friday afternoon to discuss the allegations surrounding his private life which have emerged over the past week.
And, although there has been no official comment from either the FA or Terry's camp, speculation is mounting that the 29-year-old Chelsea defender has been axed as his country's skipper.
