Chelsea's midfield phenomenon N'Golo Kante has been voted Premier League PFA Fans' Player of the Month for March, beating fellow nominees Artur Boruc – Bournemouth, Joshua King – Bournemouth, Romelu Lukaku – Everton, Nathan Redmond – Southampton, Mamadou Sakho – Crystal Palace and Georginio Wijnaldum – Liverpool.
The accolade comes after a brilliant March for the former Leicester City man, with Chelsea winning three out of three across all competitions, including a 1-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Manchester United, in which Kante cooly slotted home the winner.
The 26-year-old Frenchman has been in inspired form since his £32 million move from unlikely Premier League champions Leicester to serial winners Chelsea. The Blues have lost just three Premier League fixtures this season with Kante marshaling the middle of the pitch, prompting players and pundits alike to suggest on current form, he's the best midfielder on the planet.
"I'd go as far to say that he's the best central midfield player in the world on current form, I really would," said former Blues legend Frank Lampard, after Chelsea's FA Cup victory over United.
