Brazil wonderkid Neymar has snubbed a move to Chelsea and agreed to sign a vastly improved contract with Santos.[LNB]The Barclays Premier League champions were prepared to pay £25million and offer the 18-year-old a five-year contract worth £55,000 a week.[LNB]But despite initial pressure from his family and advisers to leave, Neymar felt it was too soon to leave Brazil and was shocked by the counter offer from Santos.[LNB] Going nowhere: Neymar (right) will remain at Santos[LNB]The Brazilians have effectively tripled his wages to £40,000 a week by doing an image rights deal with sponsors, using the same model that allowed Robinho to join the club on loan from ManchesterCity.[LNB]Pele, Robinhoand new Brazilboss Mano Menezes had all advisedNeymar to stay and the teenager said:'I've taken into account the advice Ireceived, but the decision to stay at theclub is mine. [LNB]'It was tough, but I thinkthat God gave me wisdom to decidewhat was best. I'm very happy here andnow I'm just thinking about winningmore titles with Santos.[LNB]'Money doesn't buy you happiness and I'm happy here.' [LNB]Chelsea had not been prepared to bid the £5m extra that would activate his release clause and the teenager's new five-year deal ups the clause to £37m.[LNB] The best? Santos want to make Neymar the world's finest expedient of football[LNB]Santos hope to hold on to him until at least after the 2014 World Cupin Brazil, but the player's representatives have asked the Blues to stay in touch and potentially launch a new bid next summer after his employers have played in the Copa Libertadores, which they have not won since 1963.[LNB]His father said: 'Along with the president, we decided to postpone the trip to  Europe to allow him to grow and develop here.'[LNB]Santos dazzled Neymar and his advisers by promising to not only increase his pay, but also boost his profile by bringing in specialist public relations experts with knowledge of the English, Spanish and Italian markets.[LNB]They have a dream of making him the first player for generations to be recognised as the best player in the world while still playing in Brazil.[LNB] New deal: Emerging star Ganso (right) will be offered a similar deal to Neymar[LNB]They have promised to formulate a similar deal for outstanding 20-year-old playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso, who has interested Manchester United, Real Madrid and Lyon.[LNB]The decision is a blow to Chelsea, who have tracked the supremely skilful forward for two years and thought they would get their man after meeting his father in New York earlier this month.[LNB]It remains to be seen whether Santos will continue with threats to report Chelsea to FIFA for supposedly 'harassing' the player, though the Barclays Premier League champions are confident they broke no rules.[LNB]Santos, who have been far from one of the big financial powers in Brazilian football recently, have struck a blow by holding on to one of the country's jewels after years of quality players quickly leaving for Europe.[LNB]Santos president Luis Alvaro deOliveira Ribeiro said: 'He has the headof a man, but the body of a boy. He wasable to make this tough decision aboutthe coming years of his career'[LNB] Neymar torn over Chelsea move as Brazil starlet hints at Santos stayChelsea tempt Neymar with huge deal as Brazil ace shuns Santos offerRobinho and Pele brought in to warn Neymar: Don't sign for Chelsea!CHELSEA FC
