Neymar not for sale, says Santos chief

ShareSantos are ready to hand Neymar a massive pay rise to see off interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.[LNB]The South American champions are confident that their 19-year-old star will not leave this summer after talks with him, his parents and agent.[LNB]Santos are in talks with four new sponsors to exploit Neymar's image after the Copa America this month, which would push the players earnings to about ?90,000 a week, according to well-sourced Brazilian website Globoesporte.[LNB] Hair we go: Neymar is not for sale, according to Santos [LNB]When Chelsea had a ?25million bid rejected in August, Neymar was rewarded with a five-year contract that quadrupled his earnings to ?55,000 a week.[LNB]And now Santos want to further repay his loyalty by signing away his advertising rights for nine different campaigns, including the federal government, an electronics company, enery drink, mobile phone provider, sportswear company and the manufacturer of antiseptic powder.[LNB]Santos cannot prevent clubs talking to Neymar if a bid matching his ?40m release clause is met, but president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro is determined to hold on to him.[LNB]'The fans love Neymar, not only how he plays, but for his human qualities,' said Luis Alvaro. 'That love is shared by millions of other Brazilians who admire him regardless of the club to which he belongs. [LNB] Staying put: The Brazil international has attracted interest from across Europe [LNB]'In any case, the response of Santos is that we are not yet considering any offer for his transfer.[LNB]'Neymar will return to Santos (after the Copa America) and we will make efforts to retain and keep him happy for many years.' [LNB]Neymar has expressed a desire to playin the Club World Cup in Japan in December, when Santos hope to reach afinal against Barcelona.[LNB]The Brazilian side hope to keep Neymar at least until next year's Olympics - and ideally till the 2014 World Cup - with 2012 marking the club's centenary.[LNB] Samba beat: Neymar with former Man City forwards Robinho and Elano [LNB] Although Europe's top clubs would prefer to do a deal this summer because of the phasing in of new financial fair play rules, another factor for Neymar could be that he will become a father towards the end of this year.[LNB]The player's agent Wagner Ribeiro, who has previously negotiated Robinho's moves to Real Madrid and Manchester City, said: 'There is very little chance to go to Europe now.[LNB]'It would not be good for the boy. The player is not a mercenary. It is not so simple that he would take the money and leave.
