Napoli remain adamant that Slovakia international midfielder Marek Hamsik will not leave the club in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been linked with interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United, but his current Serie A club deny that any deal is in the pipeline.
Director of sport Riccardo Bigon told Radio Marte: "If we rejected the rumours about a friend like Carlo Ancelotti and Chelsea it is obvious that we also reject these (about Manchester United).
"We have no intention of giving away Marek."
Agent, Fulvio Marrucco, one of Hamsik's representatives, later told Napolipress: "It's a normal thing that a player with the potential of Hamsik is followed with interest by big clubs.
"But I haven't had direct contact with any English teams. Marek now only thinks of Napoli and the World Cup in South Africa.
"All the assumptions about the market are not true, there aren't negotiations with any team and there isn't the will of the player to change club."
