Moscow miss still haunts me - Terry

John Terry stands on the brink of an unique Chelsea double insisting it still would not compensate for his Champions League hurt in 2008.[LNB] Terry is still haunted by his penalty miss in Moscow two years ago which saw Manchester United win Europe's top competition.[LNB]"Nothing will ever make up for Moscow unless we go and win the Champions League in my lifetime - that's a fact," said Terry.[LNB]"But we have got a chance to go down in the club's history, the double has never been done before at this club and we have a great chance to do it."[LNB]Terry is fit to lead the Blues out at Wembley after overcoming an injury scare to his right foot.[LNB]The defender was hurt in a clash with striker Daniel Sturridge in training on Wednesday but scans ruled out fears he had broken his metatarsal.[LNB]Terry admitted he had been "scared" by the injury ahead of the FA Cup final and the World Cup finals in South Africa.[LNB]"It was sorted out in a couple of hours but I was a bit scared, I must say," said Terry, who was speaking after taking part in training yesterday.[LNB]"I was just running back to goal and Daniel fell on top of me. My foot was caught underneath. I thought it was quite bad initially.[LNB]"But once I had the scan, it was just bruising and today there was no problem at all.[LNB]"I was delighted when I got the scan results and there was no ligament damage or anything like that. It was just a bit of bruising inside the foot so no problem at all."[LNB]Chelsea are determined to make club history, according to coach Carlo Ancelotti.[LNB]The Italian has already steered the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in England and it could get even better for the former AC Milan coach.[LNB]Chelsea will become only the seventh club in history to win both competitions in the same season if they overcome Avram Grant's Pompey side.[LNB]"For us it is a great opportunity to win the double - the first time for this club and we can do it," said Ancelotti.[LNB]"It is the most important game and we have to have respect for Portsmouth.[LNB]"They were relegated but they deserve to play in this final after beating Tottenham in the semis.[LNB]"It is an opportunity for them to save the season. We have to fight against them to win this game."[LNB]Ancelotti also paid tribute to Grant.[LNB]"Avram is a very good coach," he added.[LNB]"He was here for Chelsea in one year and played in finals with this club. He has done a very good job this year with Portsmouth."[LNB]Chelsea will train on Wembley's newly-laid pitch today and Ancelotti, one of the few managers not to have complained about the surface after the semi-finals, remains unconcerned.[LNB]He said: "I don't think this a problem for us or Portsmouth. It is the same for both teams."
