Milan dismiss Ancelotti talk

AC Milan have reacted quickly to reports suggesting Chelsea want Carlo Ancelotti to be their new manager, by dismissing such talk as gossip.
The Daily Mirror ran a story on Wednesday suggesting Blues striker Andriy Shevchenko had told owner Roman Abramovich that Ancelotti was the man to replace Jose Mourinho, who has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Shevchenko worked with Ancelotti at the San Siro before moving to Chelsea last summer in a £30million deal.
However, Ancelotti is under contract at AC Milan until the end of next season, and the club's sporting director Ariedo Braida insists the coach will honour that deal.
He said: "Ancelotti has a contract with AC Milan and he will stay.
"What has been said in the press is all gossip, there's absolutely nothing."
Milan are currently ninth in the Serie A table, 28 points behind city rivals and leaders Internazionale, after beating Reggina 3-1 at the weekend.
