John Obi Mikel's agent claims the midfielder is set to agree a new contract with Chelsea.[LNB] The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has played an integral role for the Blues this season and has attracted interest in Italy with sources suggesting Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho may line the Nigerian up as a replacement for veteran Patrick Vieira.[LNB]The Inter boss has worked with the talented holding man during his spell at Stamford Bridge, adding weight to the claims, but Mikel's agent, John Shittu, says the player is in line for a new deal at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]"We are now discussing the renewal of the contract," Shittu told the London Evening Standard.[LNB]"There has been interest from different clubs in Spain and Italy, not forgetting some big teams in England, but John will remain at Chelsea.[LNB]Going nowhere"For the time being his only concern is to ensure his position with the Blues and until he has done that he will go nowhere."[LNB]It remains uncertain who will become Chelsea's next manager when interim boss Guus Hiddink leaves in the summer, with AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti discussing his future at the San Siro at the end of the campaign.[LNB]Hiddink's tenure has been a successful one so far with the Blues contesting the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League as well as the final of the FA Cup, and the Dutchman's impact has been felt by the Chelsea players.[LNB]Frank Lampard has been very impressed by the impact made by Hiddink during his short time in charge of the club.[LNB]"I have never seen someone approach it as simply as Hiddink does," noted Lampard.[LNB]"He knows his stuff. He doesn't over-talk, he doesn't try to fill you with 100 tactics, he just says the important things. There has been no magic wand and there has been no huge difference. That is the beauty of him."[LNB]
