Middlesbrough have insisted Adam Johnson is staying with them Middlesbrough have told Chelsea target Adam Johnson there is no chance of him leaving the club this summer. The England Under-21 winger has been rated at £8 million, but Boro are insisting he will stay and help the club back into the Premier League. Boro chief executive Keith Lamb said: 'Adam will not be leaving this club in the summer. 'He was going to be with us whether we were in the Championship or the Premier League.' With Stewart Downing out injured, Johnson can expect a long run in the first team next season, according to a report in the Mirror. Johnson has played at Boro since 2005, with loan spells at Leeds and Watford during that time.
