Last minute fax machine failure causes delay Raul Meireles will sign for the Blues, Chelsea-Mad believe. The Liverpool midfielder handed in a tranfer request just after 10.30pm tonight. But a last-minute hitch, a problem with the Chelsea fax machine has meant that Chelsea's offer has held up proceedings. But a fee was verbally agreed between the clubs and personal terms between Ron Gourlay and Meireles has now being sorted. The Premier League will accept that the majority of the deal was completed on time and they will sanction the transfer.
