Manchester United pass through £60m TV income barrier

Share Manchester United broke another record afterbecoming the first club to smash the ?60million barrier for TV income.[LNB][LNB]The Barclays Premier League champions' earned ?60.4m withnearest rivals Chelsea taking in ?57.7m. [LNB]Each club were awarded an equal share of ?13.8m in domesticTV rights and ?17.9m in overseas rights this season.  [LNB]The rest is based onfinal league standings and the number of times a club appeared on TV during theseason.[LNB]United earned ?13.5m from their appearances on UK TV,Liverpool were second securing ?12.1m.[LNB]Fees of ?582,000 are paid to a club every time they are liveon TV - with a minimum of ?5.82m even if a club has been involved in fewer than10 live games.[LNB]The Premier League have also paid ?15m each in parachutepayments to previously relegated clubs Hull, Burnley, Portsmouth andMiddlesbrough.
