Man City and Everton told to forget bids for Real Madrid's Arsenal fan Guti

Real Madrid have told Manchester City and Everton not to bother following up interest in Spain midfielder Guti. The Barclays Premier League clubs, along with Galatasary, have reportedly enquired about the Bernabeu vice-captain. But despite Madrid's desperation to offload players, neither head coach Manuel Pellegrini or director general Jorge Valdano are prepared to sanction Guti's departure. The 32-year-old has, however, indicated his intention to play in the English league once his current contract runs out in 2011. His preferred destination would be Arsenal, though it is hard to imagine Arsene Wenger signing a 34-year-old. The one-club man has even been linked with a move this summer to Qatar and TT Ha Noi, who hope to sign Guti, former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Chelsea playmaker Deco.
