Manchester City's summer transfer plans have been dealt a major blow after Diego's agent revealed the Brazil international has his heart set on a move to Juventus. Nice day for flair play: Werder Bremen playmaker Diego holds off Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery Diego, who has also been a target for Chelsea, stated in February that he could leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season for Real Madrid, Juventus or City - but the former Porto playmaker now favours a move to Italy. With Brazilians Robinho, Elano and Jo already at Eastlands, City were considered a realistic option for the 24-year-old. But Diego's father and agent, Djair da Cunha, has spoken of his son's desire to instead join the Serie A giants. 'He wants Juve. In the Bianconeri jersey he would win the Ballon d'Or,' Da Cunha told Tuttosport. 'I would be happy if the deal with Werder Bremen takes off. 'The messages of Juventus supporters have touched my son. He dreams of a club that wins in Europe. If it's €10m, €20m, €30m, this has to be decided by (Klaus) Allofs, the Werder general manager.' Diego is contracted to Bremen until the summer of 2011 and the club are unlikely to welcome advances for the 2007 Bundesliga Player of the Year.
