Malouda Expects Blues Stay

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda expects to remain at Stamford Bridge for a "long, long time". The France international joined the Blues in 2007 in a £13.5million move from Ligue 1 champions Lyon. Malouda had suffered with injuries and failed to live up to his price tag when he first arrived in West London, sparking speculation of a move. But the 28-year-old has previously stated he does not want to leave and, after finding his feet during Guus Hiddink's short-term tenure, he maintains that his future is at Chelsea. "I still see my future at Chelsea. Everyone is talking about my future but I will stay here for a long, long time," he said in the Evening Standard. And Malouda has also confirmed Chelsea's desperation to win the Champions League this season following last year's final defeat to Manchester United in Russia. The Blues are preparing for a semi-final meeting with competition favourites Barcelona - but there is a confidence in Hiddink's squad. "We can do great things in the remainder of the season, especially in the Champions League. Everyone is thinking about the final we lost against United in Moscow last year," added Malouda. "Our target is to reach the final again and win it. We know it won't be easy to beat Barcelona in the semi-finals but we have to be ready for that if we are to deserve to win the competition."
