Inter Milan defender Maicon is happy to stay at Giuseppe Meazza and turn down a potential move to Chelsea or Manchester City. The Brazil right-back has emerged as a rumoured transfer target of the Premier League duo following impressive performances in the Confederations Cup. Big-spending Real Madrid have also been linked with the 27-year-old, who is under contract until 2013, but he is keen to remain at Inter. Maicon is optimistic that he will be able to agree a new deal with the Serie A champions when he returns from a short summer holiday. "As I have mentioned many times, I want to remain at Inter," he said. "I am happy to play at Inter. "We can reach an agreement without any problems. "If they (Inter) have watched my performances in the Confederations Cup and want to recognise what I've done (with an improved contract), I will happily remain at Inter. "Now I'm going to Sao Paulo and then to Belo Horizonte with my wife and children. I am very tired and I need to go on holiday."
