Luka Modric snubs Chelsea and Manchester United to sign six-year Tottenham Hotspur deal

Luka Modric has signed a new six-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur - closing the door on a summer move to Chelsea or Manchester United.[LNB]The 24-year-old was only two years into a five-year deal at White Hart Lane, but has now agreed a much-improved contract after attracting interest from the Barclays Premier League big guns.[LNB]Insiders say reports in Croatia that Spurs offered him a huge £80,000 a week are wide of the mark, but the new agreement to 2016 will make him one of the top earners in north London.[LNB]Star man: Modric impressed in Tottenham's march to fourth place[LNB]'Tottenham Hotspur gave me my chance in the Premier League and I want to go on to achieve great success here with them,' he said.
