David Luiz limped off the pitch tonight as Brazil defeated Italy 4-2 in the Confederations Cup.The Chelsea centre-back, already sporting a broken nose from the previous match against Mexico appeard to suffer a thigh injury in the first half. No one was near him as he kicked the ball out of play and fell to the He wass replaced by Bayern Munich's Dante.Luiz was able to watch his country quilfy with a 100 per cent group record, but his leg was heveily strapped with an ice covering.His fuerther participation in the event is now in doubt, with the semi-final just four days away.Chelsea's other Brazilian on show tonight was Oscar, who was tidy in everything he did in midfield without showing any extravangant touches. Perhaps the long debut season for the Blues is catching up to him.Brazil's goals came from Dante at the stroke of half time. this was followed by a screamer of a free kick from Barcelona's latest signing Neymar on 55 minutes while Fred notched up a brace on 66 and 88 minutes Italy's two came from the boots of Giaccherini on 51 minutes and Chiellini on 71 minutes.
