Liverpool rocked as skipper Gerrard is ruled out of crunch Chelsea clash
Liverpool will have to beat Chelsea without their inspirational skipper Steven Gerrard tonight.
The Reds midfielder has failed to recover from a groin injury that left him a serious doubt for the Champions League quarter-final second leg at Stamford Bridge.
Gerrard has not even been named among the substitutes for the game in which Liverpool need to win at least 3-1 to have any chance of progressing to the last four.
