Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has warned Manchester United not to under-estimate Andriy Shevchenko ahead of Sunday's showdown between the two Premiership giants.
The Ukraine international has netted only three times in the Premiership since his £30million arrival in the summer, and has had to play second fiddle for much of the campaign to the in-form Didier Drogba.
But Lampard has backed the former Dynamo Kiev and AC Milan striker to silence his doubters at Old Trafford.
"I know the player he is and I've got untold respect for him like I had before he came. He's in good form but he's come to another country and you have to adapt a little," said Lampard.
"But he's a fantastic player and with Michael Ballack they are renowned top players in the world.
"They perform in top games so I'm hoping this is the sort of game that will bring the best out of Sheva. But he's been playing very well for us and has integrated brilliantly with the lads.
"When he wasn't scoring you could see it hurt him because he is a goalscorer. But he works hard in training and more goals will come."
