Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has welcomed the potential arrival of Robinho after claiming the Brazil star would 'light up the Premier League'.
The Blues are reported to be close to striking a deal with Real Madrid to bring the £30million rated international forward to England.
Robinho has been earmarked by manager Luiz Felipe Scolari as the player to help bring a new style of play to Stamford Bridge and Lampard would relish his arrival.
"He is a fantastic player, I saw a lot of him last season watching the Spanish games," he said in The Sun.
"He has great flair and something that would be nice to bring into our team.
"We have flair players already but he is another option and he could light up the league."
Meanwhile, the latest reports from Spain claim a determined Real Madrid have turned down a 'final' offer from Chelsea for the 24-year-old forward.
The Spanish champions have consistently claimed that the former Santos starlet is not for sale.
