    Lamps happy with century

    18 Feb 2008 - 11:34:33

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed his satisfaction at reaching a century of goals for the club against Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup.

The England international's first of two goals in Saturday's 3-1 fifth round victory at Stamford Bridge saw his reach the milestone in his eighth season with the Blues.

Lampard joined Chelsea from West Ham United in an £11million transfer in the summer of 2001.

"I was very pleased to do it in front of the home fans because they have supported me through everything," he told the club's official website.

"To do it in front of them was excellent. Those goals are for the fans and for all the support I have had. Crossing London is a very difficult move and the fans stuck behind me all the way.

"Whatever happens in the future, that achievement of 100 goals at Chelsea is something that will stay with me forever."

Meanwhile, Lampard insists nobody in the Cheslea camp is under-estimating the challenge posed by Olympiacos.

The Blues face Greek opposition in Athens in the first leg of a Champions League last 16 clash on Tuesday evening.

"Olympiacos away is a difficult game. They are a difficult team, especially at home," he continued.

"They have proven that with the results they get, especially against the top teams.

"So we can't go there and be sloppy. We need to be very professional and go there against a difficult atmosphere, a difficult team, and do the right job."
