    Lampard's future 'unresolved'

    08 Jul 2008 - 15:34:36

Internazionale president Massimo Moratti claims he has made an official bid for Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard.

The Blues issued a statement on Tuesday saying they had received an official approach from Inter but not a financial offer.

Last season's Premier League runners-up insist they will not be selling the 30-year-old former West Ham United star this summer, while new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari insisted in a press conference that Lampard had expressed no desire to leave Stamford Bridge.

However, Moratti told Inter's official website: "They replied that they have no intention of negotiating, as was their right. Now we will see.

"But there is an offer and we confirm it. However, we don't want to create any big problems."

Meanwhile, Lampard's agent, Steve Kutner, insists the player's future remains unresolved despite the recent statements from Chelsea.

"I'd just like to make the position clear," Kutner said in a statement.

"Felipe had a very amicable chat with Frank who told him he always envisaged ending his career with Chelsea.

"He also told him unfortunately, the terms for a new contract cannot be agreed despite discussions ongoing for two years. This means his position remains completely unresolved."
