Lampard wary of Spurs threat

Frank Lampard admits that Chelsea are worried about the potential threat from Tottenham. Spurs have made an excellent start to the new season and many people are tipping them to push for a top-four place. And ahead of their meeting with Spurs on Sunday, Lampard admits Spurs are very much on their radar. "Harry has put together good sides time and time again, at all the clubs he has been at and it was about time he got a club that had the resources to push for the top four," said Lampard. "Tottenham have spent very well. When Harry joined them they were near the bottom of the table and now they are a very powerful side with great attacking options. They have a possibility of challenging for the top four. "With Peter Crouch they can play more direct because they do have that option and no-one can live with him in the air if the ball is in the right area. "I saw Spurs play against Manchester United and they did end up playing quite a few long balls into Crouchy - but they have the players that are very sharp around him to feed off it." Lampard knows Sunday's game will be a tough encounter, adding: "They have given us tougher games recently because they were so hell bent on getting results against us. "They are strong and a derby atmosphere always makes it harder to beat them. We will have to be at the top of our game if we are going to beat them."
