Lampard seeks Euro redemption

Frank Lampard is desperate to erase the memories of last season's UEFA Champions League heartache.[LNB] The Blues made it all the way to the final in 2008, before coming up short in a penalty shoot-out against Premier League rivals Manchester United.[LNB]The width of a post separated Chelsea from European glory that night, with John Terry missing a spot-kick which would have handed them the crown.[LNB]Lampard admits that everybody at Stamford Bridge is determined to go one better this season, with a last-16 tie against Juventus representing the next hurdle to be negotiated.[LNB]"There's an added incentive because of the manner in which we came so close last year," said the England international.[LNB]"You can't but help having that in the back of your mind after what happened.[LNB]"You want to go back and actually win it, whether this year or not. But so much can happen. Little moments can go either way on the way to the final, and you need that bit of luck to succeed.[LNB]"We're very determined, but after last year of course we want to win the Champions League."[LNB]
