Lampard joy at clean sheet

Frank Lampard hailed the significance of Chelsea's clean sheet as the Blues defeated Juventus 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League.[LNB] Didier Drogba struck the decisive goal at Stamford Bridge to hand Chelsea the edge in their last-16 tie with Juve.[LNB]Lampard concedes the Blues were not at their best over the course of the 90 minutes, but was delighted they managed to keep out their opponents ahead of the second leg in Turin.[LNB]The England midfielder told Sky Sports: "We created enough chances to score more but it's very important we keep a clean sheet at home.[LNB]Big result"Juve are a top team. We're past the group stages now and any team you play are going to cause you problems.[LNB]"But it's good we didn't concede and we have the chance to go there and cause them some problems.[LNB]"It wasn't the best performance over the 90 minutes but it was a big performance and a big result.[LNB]"There were patches where we played well. We started very well but at times we maybe sat off a little bit."[LNB]Drogba reactionMeanwhile, Drogba insisted his timely return to form was not down to new boss Guus Hiddink taking over from Luiz Felipe Scolari.[LNB]"No, no, I don't think it's because of a change of manager," he said.[LNB]"We did our best. It was a difficult game and we created chances to score more but it's a good result.[LNB]"We need to improve a lot of things but it's good for the team that we have players who can make a difference and score goals."[LNB]
