Lampard aims for 100 club

Frank Lampard is determined to make it into England's exclusive 100 club. 10 years after making his international bow against Belgium, Lampard won his 75th cap on Saturday. Unfortunately, he could not mark the occasion with a win as the Three Lions lost their 100% record in competitive combat under Fabio Capello against the Ukraine. However, for Lampard it marks another milestone in a career where he has achieved far more than he expected when he started out as a raw teenager at West Ham. "I want to make it 100," he said. "I am determined to try and do that. "I have enjoyed every cap I have got and am very proud to have reached that level because I never thought I would get that number when I won my first cap 10 years ago. "It doesn't seem like 10 years. I will try and carry on playing for my country and will work hard to do as much as I can for as long as I can. "If it gets me to a century of caps great, although if it gets me to a World Cup win, it would be even better."
