Kurt Zouma confesses his love for the colour blue and Chelsea as transfer speculation rises.

Kurt Zouma appears to have taken to jumping up and down and gushing over his love for Chelsea to anyone who will listen. Kurt has been reported to be of interest to Chelsea as they look for replacements for aging stars such as John Terry and Ashley Cole.

Kurt has been quoted in L’Equipe this morning pretty much leaving no doubt that he would be more than pleased to join the Blues if asked.

"When Mourinho called me a month ago, I first thought it was a joke! Its a mark of respect and confidence," the Saint-Etienne centre-back has said.

"I love Chelsea since I was a boy. I always play with them on Playstation. Blue is my favourite colour. If im told to go there, I will."

Chelsea have also shown something of a weakness defending set-pieces and have made moves to cover that frailty with Nemanja Matic, a combative defensive midfielder.

Kurt Zouma as a 19-year-old represents both an investment and prospect for the future and certainly fits the bill for Chelsea as a tall, strong and skilful centre-half. A number of clubs including Newcastle, PSG and Monaco are also reported as being interested in the Saint-Etienne player according to The Daily Mail. A fee of £10m has been mentioned as required to secure his services.

Zouma is on a 10-game ban after breaking the leg of Sochaux's Thomas Guerbert but is expected to join Chelsea at the end of the season according The Daily Mail.
