    Kenyon rules out Terry exit

    07 Jul 2009 - 09:04:07

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon is adamant that there is no chance of club captain John Terry leaving Stamford Bridge.

New head coach Carlo Ancelotti insisted on Monday that, even though Manchester City are trying to tempt Terry to Eastlands, the England international is going nowhere.

Kenyon has backed up those comments, telling The Independent: "Terry isn't available at any price.

"He's got a three-year contract. He's told us he doesn't want to go and we don't want him to go. End of story."

Terry has been the subject of two unsuccessful bids from big-spending City so far this summer and weekend reports suggested the 28-year-old defender was contemplating ending his 14-year association with Chelsea with a lucrative £200,000 a week deal believed to be on the table.

Former AC Milan coach Ancelotti had said when asked about the speculation: "John Terry is a symbol of this team. He will be captain next season.

"He said he wants to stay forever and we want to keep him forever.

"Now there is a question of Man City, but for Terry (there is) no price. He said he wants to stay. There is no problem for him or us.

"I spoke with Terry a month ago when I came to the club and he said welcome. After, he went on holiday.

"I will speak with him because he is the captain and I want a good relationship with the captain."
