Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon claims the problems that overshadowed the club last season have been resolved and is confident the Blues can reclaim the Premier League title this term.
The Stamford Bridge club missed out on a hat-trick of league titles last season during a campaign that was blighted by long-term injuries to captain John Terry and goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Relations between manager Jose Mourinho and the club's billionaire owner AS Roman Abramovich were also believed to be strained at times.
However, Kenyon believes the Blues will return a stronger force next season as they look to reclaim the domestic crown from Manchester United.
He said: "I'm not saying there weren't issues (last season), there were various issues as there are at every club.
"That has been addressed and I'm confident about next season and that aspect of Chelsea.
"I don't think anyone wants a repeat of last year."
Kenyon also expects Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack to make more of an impact after disappointing debut seasons in the Premier League.
"Andriy and Mike came in on four-year contracts, not for a year and then if you do okay we'll resign you," he continued
"It's a four-year commitment to add value to the squad over a period of time.
"Both of those players know they have got much more to achieve and want to achieve much more.
"I remember having a similar conversation this time last year. It can be easy to underestimate the settling in to English football."
