Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon says he isn't too worried by his former club Manchester United's major summer transfer spending spree.
The Red Devils have added Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson to their ranks since securing the Premier League title, while they are also being linked with a big-money move for West Ham's Carlos Tevez.
Meanwhile, the Blues have brought in three players on free transfers, Tal Ben Haim, Claudio Pizarro and Steve Sidwell, but Kenyon is content with the new arrivals and says that money will be spent to lure Florent Malouda away from Lyon.
"I think it surprised everybody how quickly they (United) came out and what they spent," said Kenyon.
"I'm not worried about what we've spent. We always look at how they've spent versus how we've spent and that's fine, but I don't think it's all about money.
"We're happy with where we are. We've not gone for big signings and not got them, we have our list and have three out of the four on the list.
"There is money and we're going to spend money on Malouda. If there are players we feel are right there is money available to spend on those.
"This is very much Jose Mourinho's wish in terms of what he wanted."
Meanwhile, Kenyon also played down rumours of interest in Spurs right-back Pascal Chimbonda and Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves.
However, he did confirm that the Blues expect to appoint Avram Grant as their new technical director in the near future.
