Kenyon: Terry not for sale
16 Jul 2009 - 07:31:50
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has categorically ruled out the prospect of selling captain John Terry to Manchester City.
The Blues have spent the summer fending off interest in the 28-year-old defender from the ambitious Eastlands club.
They have rejected two huge bids for the England captain in recent weeks and Kenyon has warned his City counterparts that any fresh approach will be a waste of time.
Speculation has continued to surrounding the future of Terry at Stamford Bridge as he has yet to publicly pledge his future to a club where he has spent his entire career.
City are reported to be willing to pay Terry £200,000 per week to make the switch to Eastlands.
"He's not available at any price," warned Kenyon. "He's got a three-year contract.
"He's told us he doesn't want to go and we don't want him to go. End of story."
