Kenyon reiterates Terry stance

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has reiterated that club captain John Terry is not for sale.[LNB] The Blues defender continues to be linked with a big-money move to free-spending Manchester City, with Mark Hughes publicly declaring his admiration for the England man.[LNB]City are reported to be preparing a lucrative package to help lure Terry to Eastlands, while they also believe that the 28-year-old would be keen to take on a new challenge after spending his entire career to date at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]Kenyon, though, is of a different opinion and, with three years still to run on the player's contract, insists Chelsea have no intention of selling their talismanic skipper.[LNB]"I don't know what they are offering but I am confident John is going to remain with us," he told Sky News.[LNB]"John is a talisman. He is the heart of Chelsea, came through the academy, he is our captain and has also become captain of England while he has been here.[LNB]Leader"We are not going to sell John, so it is irrelevant what another club will offer.[LNB]"We are very confident he will be leading us in the years to come."[LNB]While keen to rule out the prospect of Terry leaving West London this summer, Kenyon has admitted that further new recruits are expected to be on their way into the capital club.[LNB]He claims new coach Carlo Ancelotti will be backed in the transfer market and expects the Blues to conclude further business before the window slams shut.[LNB]"It is always fair to say, whatever season, you're always looking to bring in a bit of freshness," Kenyon said.[LNB]"This season will be no different and the coach will probably want to influence how we play with another player."[LNB]
