Kalou disciplined by Ivory Coast after Chelsea star kicks team-mate Meite

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou was dropped from the Ivory Coast's World Cup qualifier against Guinea at the weekend after clashing with team-mate Abdoulaye Meite, it has emerged. Kalou was disciplined after he kicked out at West Brom defender Meite during a scuffle, the Ivorian Football Federation revealed. It is unclear whether there will be an extended ban, but the former Feyenoord man has been warmed he could miss his country's clash withGermany in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday. But Ivorian football federation president Jacques Anouma has coaxed Kalou and Meite into a reconciliation. Kalou said: 'We have been punished and I take responsibility for what happened. This is how you make progress: admit to your mistakes and move on.'
