Kalou sings Hiddink's praises

Salomon Kalou believes Guus Hiddink is the ideal candidate to help bring success back to Chelsea.[LNB] The Blues have appointed the experienced Dutchman as their new manager until the end of the season, having parted company with Luiz Felipe Scolari on Monday.[LNB]The current manager of the Russian national team brings a glowing reputation with him to Stamford Bridge, with success following him wherever he has been.[LNB]Kalou has been quick to acknowledge the credentials of his new coach and is of the opinion that Hiddink is capable of ushering in a glorious era.[LNB] "He's a nice guy and I'm really excited about working with him," the Ivorian striker told Sky Sports News following the first meeting between coach and players on Thursday.[LNB]"He has had a lot of success wherever he has been and I believe he can bring that success to Chelsea. We need to win games and I think he is the right choice."[LNB]Kalou has also backed the recent words of club captain John Terry, who has called on his team-mates to start getting things right on the field.[LNB]"He is right. The players need to do their job on the pitch and the manager is there to correct the players and give direction," he added.[LNB]"As a player we need to make the first step and help the new manager to be a success."[LNB]The African ace admits to feeling disappointed for Scolari, but accepts that managerial casualties are part of football and insists everyone must now focus their attentions of the challenges ahead. [LNB]"That is football. There are sometimes difficult situations," he said.[LNB]"I loved working with Scolari and wherever he goes I hope he is successful."[LNB]
