Kalou hoping to win back spot

Salomon Kalou hopes his super-sub display in Chelsea's Barclays Premier League win at Blackpool is enough to earn a recall to the starting XI. Kalou impressed after coming off the bench at Bloomfield Road on Monday night, winning the penalty that all but sealed the Blues' victory. The 25-year-old, who equalled a club record 93 substitute appearances in the 3-1 success, has been the biggest loser from Fernando Torres' £50million signing. He has not started in the league since and last week revealed he would consider his future in the summer if his opportunities did not increase. But he told his club's official website, www.chelseafc.com: "I give my best and hopefully my time will come when I will be in the first 11. "It is difficult because, when you don't play for long and you get in the game, people expect you to make the difference all the time, but I am working hard on training and the players help me at training."
