Juve better believe it: Drogba confident of overcoming Italians in European tie

Didier Drogba insists Chelsea can build on their first-leg lead to overcome Juventus in Turin and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The Ivorian striker, who has rediscovered his goal touch under Chelsea's interim manager Guus Hiddink, scored the crucial goal over the Serie A side at Stamford Bridge to put his team ahead as they go into the last-16 return leg. The 30-year-old also believes that keeping a clean sheet against the Italians was vital to their hopes of reaching the last eight of the competition. 'We need to score in Juventus or draw, but it is not going to be easy,' said Drogba. 'But I think we have the team to do it. The good thing is we didn't concede at home. In their stadium the game is going to be open so we will have chances to create some goals. 'They have to score, so it will be an open game. Juventus are very special. 'They are a team that really play. I think the Italian league has changed anyway. They still have this reputation for having a strong defence but they attack a lot more now. 'Italian teams are not afraid to attack - look at the players they have. They are fantastic. 'Maybe we could have scored one or two more goals but the Champions League is a very difficult competition, so we have to be happy with the goal we scored at home.' Hiddink complained after the first leg that Chelsea tired as Juventus put them under pressure in the second-half and Drogba admits that another goal would given them more of a cushion. 'We felt we should have scored another goal,' said Drogba. 'We should have defended better in the second half and played more as a unit, a block. 'We know what we have to do to go through to the next round - we have to beat the team in front of us. 'That perhaps takes a bit more concentration than in the league because you can afford to make up for a mistake in the next game. In the Champions League, you don't get that.'
