John Terry has revealed assurances from owner Roman Abramovich that Chelsea will continue to bid big in the transfer market convinced him to stay at Stamford Bridge. Abramovich told Terry during talks on the captain's future that he still has the financial clout and hunger to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid. Terry, who lifted the World Football Challenge in Dallas on Monday, said: 'The club have made offers for players and they've been turned down. It's a difficult market. 'We thought players would be going on the cheap because of the circumstances worldwide, financially, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
